FlightLadder maps every FAA-certificated Part 135 operator in the country: who they are, what they fly, who runs the pilot group, and who's hiring, so you always know your next rung and exactly how to reach it.
No credit card required
All 1,799 Part 135 certificate holders, searchable by aircraft, state, fleet size and engine type, with websites, careers pages and FAA records.
Operators whose own careers pages listed pilot openings when checked, with stated minimums, pay where published, and who to contact.
Certificates, ratings, hours and every aircraft you've flown, and with Pro, see which 135 seats you qualify for and how far the next one is.
Every listing starts from official FAA records, checked by hand and dated: see exactly where the numbers come from.

Every listing starts from the FAA's own records: the Part 135 certificate roster, the aircraft registry, and Air Operator certificate data with named chief pilots and directors of operations; then adds hand-checked websites, careers pages and hiring snapshots. Dates on everything; no scraped job-board noise.
How the data is built →
Free to browse. Your profile takes two minutes and shows you exactly where you stand.
FlightLadder maps every FAA-certificated Part 135 operator in the country: charter, cargo, air-ambulance and tour, with each fleet decoded from the aircraft registry. Find the ones flying your aircraft in your state, see who's hiring, and know exactly where you stand.
140 of the 356 largest operators had pilot openings on their own careers page when we checked (Aug 30): that's the default list below, ranked by the FAA's count of PIC captains. Switch views to rank by pilot-group size, growth or certificate age, and keep a checklist of the careers pages you're watching.
Most Part 135 operators post pilot openings on their own site, not on job boards. Pick the operators that fly what you're typed in, open their careers page weekly, and mark them Checked here so you can see at a glance what's due.
Only the — largest operators carry an FAA certificate record with a PIC count; everyone else is ranked by fleet size instead.
Certificates, ratings, endorsements, hours and every aircraft you've flown, all in one place. FlightLadder shows which Part 135 seats you already qualify for under 14 CFR 135.243 and how far you are from the next rung. Everything saves to your account automatically; come back and add hours and endorsements as you earn them.
Regulation is the floor; insurers set the real bar. The figures below are common ranges seen in Part 135 postings, not data FlightLadder has measured yet: that's what Pay & schedules will collect.
What Part 135 operators actually pay, by seat and by aircraft, and what a month on the line really looks like: day-on/day-off rotations, on-call windows, overnights, and how often you get home.
We don't have a single verified pay figure yet, and we're not going to fill the page with guesses. When it launches this section will hold:
| Operator | Seat | Aircraft | Schedule | Reported pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Example Air Charter | PIC | Citation XLS | 8 on / 6 off | — |
| Example Air Charter | SIC | Citation XLS | 8 on / 6 off | — |
| Example Medevac | PIC | EC135 / H135 | 7 on / 7 off | — |
Pilot written reports on what it's actually like to fly for an operator or airline, Part 135 or Part 121: the interview, the training, the culture, the equipment, the honesty of the schedule they promised versus the one you got.

Takes about ten minutes, no account needed. Be as honest as you'd want the next pilot to be with you.
Any operator or airline works here, Part 135 or Part 121. Type the name even if nothing suggests as you type.
Your FlightLadder listing already exists, built from public FAA records, and pilots who fly your aircraft are already finding it. Claim it, keep it accurate, and put your openings in front of exactly the pilots who match them.
Your hiring status, straight from you. An update posted here shows on your operator page and in the updates feed the moment it's in, flagged "operator-provided" so pilots know it beats any snapshot.
Reach the right pilots, not the internet. FlightLadder pilots filter by the aircraft you actually fly and build profiles with their times: your opening meets people who clear your minimums.
Fix what the FAA record gets wrong. Stale base, sold aircraft, new chief pilot: corrections land on your page, with provenance.
Free for operators. Claiming your listing and posting openings costs nothing. Paid operator tools may come later; early operators keep their terms.
Your page carries the fleet decoded from the registry, your website and careers links, FAA certificate data and, once claimed, your own hiring line at the top: seat, aircraft, minimums, schedule, and how to apply. See any operator page for the layout →
Live the moment they're posted below, right on this page.
Takes two minutes. Updates go live flagged "operator-provided," and we verify claims against the certificate record before adding the verified badge.
Where every number on FlightLadder comes from, how it was checked, and how much to trust it.

Pilot job hunting is scattered across dead forum threads, stale job boards, and careers pages nobody can find. The information that actually gets you hired (who operates the aircraft you fly, where they're based, who runs the pilot group, and what they require) has been public the whole time, buried in FAA records. FlightLadder is one person's answer to that: every Part 135 certificate holder in the country, decoded, checked by hand, and kept current, so the ladder from first certificate to captain's seat is visible in one place.
The standing promise: if you find something wrong (a dead link, a moved base, a sold aircraft), email it in and it gets fixed within 48 hours. Every listing carries its source and its date, so you always know how fresh the answer is.

What FlightLadder collects. Browsing this site requires no account and sends us nothing. Without an account, your pilot profile, certificates, ratings, hours, aircraft, is stored only in your own browser (localStorage). If you create an account, we store your email address (used for sign-in links) and your pilot profile and saved operators on our servers, so they follow you across devices; nothing else is collected. If you join the update list, we collect the email address and any answers you choose to give through our form provider, and use them solely to send FlightLadder updates. If you email us a correction, we keep the email to fix the data.
Payments. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference so your Pro features stay unlocked.
What we don't do. We don't sell or share your information with anyone, we don't run ads, and we don't use tracking cookies. Hosting, payment, and form providers (Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe, Tally) process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Your data, your call. Want your account and everything in it deleted? Email flightladdernetwork@gmail.com from your account address and it's gone.
Operator data. Operator listings are compiled from public FAA records and operators' own public websites. If you're listed and want a correction, email flightladdernetwork@gmail.com.
Removal. Want off the update list? Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just reply "remove." Questions: same address.

What this is. FlightLadder™ is an informational directory of FAA-certificated Part 135 operators, compiled from public FAA data and operators' public websites, plus tools that summarize federal regulations as rules of thumb.
No guarantees. Data is provided "as is." Fleets change, careers pages move, openings close, and FAA records lag reality. Hiring flags and stated minimums are dated snapshots, not live listings. Always verify with the operator and the current regulation before making career decisions. FlightLadder is not legal, career, or financial advice, and regulatory summaries (like 14 CFR 135.243) are not a substitute for the rule itself.
Accounts & subscriptions. FlightLadder-Free is free with an account. FlightLadder-Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or annual) billed through Stripe; it renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do any time from your account: you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply to a period you've already paid. Don't share one account across multiple people.
Fair use of the site. Personal, non-commercial use is welcome. Don't scrape, republish the dataset wholesale, or misrepresent FlightLadder data as your own. Operator names and trademarks belong to their owners; FAA data is public information.
Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlightLadder and its owner aren't liable for decisions made or opportunities lost based on information here. If something's wrong, tell us: flightladdernetwork@gmail.com, and we'll fix it.
Changes. These terms may be updated as the product grows; the effective date above tracks the current version.
